Subsurface imaging can now be used to determine if oil tanks have impacted the soils or if
groundwater has been contaminated as a result of a leak. Now with the use of Ground
Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology, costly drilling and excavations are not necessary to
determine site conditions.  With Side Scan Sonar, a full underwater profile is imaged.  Side
scan sonar offers many advantages for search and rescue, underwater salvage and
topographical needs.
